Mike Britton Appointed CIO at Abnormal AI

Leading the Charge in Information Security

Mike Britton has taken the helm as the Chief Information Officer at Abnormal AI, a company at the forefront of artificial intelligence technology. In his new role, Britton is responsible for overseeing the information security team, the privacy program, and guiding the corporate AI strategy. His leadership is vital in fostering customer trust and conducting vendor risk assessments to ensure robust security measures are in place.

In addition to these responsibilities, he actively safeguards the workforce by monitoring the multi-cloud infrastructure to preemptively identify and address potential security threats. Furthermore, Britton spearheads the integration of AI-driven tools and processes designed to boost employee productivity and efficiency across the organization. His collaboration with the product and engineering teams ensures that platform security remains uncompromised while also representing the customer’s voice during the feature development process.

Before his current appointment, Mike Britton served as the Chief Information Security Officer at Abnormal Security for three years. His extensive background also includes six years as the Chief Security Officer and Chief Privacy Officer for Alliance Data, where he honed his skills in protecting information assets. Earlier in his career, he held positions with IBM and VF Corporation, accumulating a wealth of experience over 25 years in information security, privacy, compliance, and IT within several Fortune 500 global organizations.

Britton holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dallas and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Mary Washington. His diverse academic and professional background positions him well to navigate the complexities of cybersecurity in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
