He specializes in assisting large enterprises and public sector organizations in implementing modern, scalable security solutions. Previously, at Cisco, Clay held multiple key positions including Network Consulting Engineer, Solutions Architect, and Technical Marketing Leader. His work there involved strategizing and deploying vital routing, switching, and security programs. He was integral to the development of Cisco Secure Connect and contributed to the early messaging around Secure Access Service Edge (SASE).
During his tenure at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Clay served as a Senior Security Consultant and Senior Security Customer Delivery Architect. In these roles, he guided clients through the complexities of Zero Trust security frameworks, identity management, and sustainable cloud architectures—all while ensuring compliance with demanding security standards. His focus on operational excellence allowed teams to not only meet but exceed business objectives under stringent security protocols.

His areas of expertise include SD-WAN and SASE implementations, as well as delivering identity-centric Zero Trust frameworks.
