According to Neringa Macijauskaitė, an information security researcher at Cyber News, “We are witnessing an alarming epidemic of weak password reuse. We developed custom wordlists to categorize password components. Utilizing bash and Python scripts alongside publicly available tools, we assessed critical factors such as password length, character composition, and the inclusion of special characters, digits, and uppercase letters.”
