How Torq Is Transforming SOCs with Autonomous Cyber Agents

Ofer Smadari, the CEO of Torq, announced that integrating Revrod technology into their platform enables investigations to be carried out with significantly reduced human intervention. This advancement allows organizations to enhance their threat resolution processes effectively.

According to Smadari, the AI agents employed by Torq utilize natural-language runbooks to execute traditionally human-tasks, such as alert triage and case resolutions. This automation simplifies an 80-step process into just three steps without sacrificing quality, enabling security teams to enhance efficiency while lowering maintenance efforts.

Smadari elaborated on the widespread deployment of Revrod technology across their entire platform, affecting workflow and investigation methodologies in AI-driven case management. “We are incorporating this technology into nearly all aspects of our platform today,” he stated.

In a recent interview with Information Security Media Group, Smadari also highlighted several pressing challenges facing security teams. He indicated that the increasing use of AI by cybercriminals has resulted in a surge of alerts, complicating the triage process and raising the stakes for accurate false-positive resolutions. Furthermore, he discussed how Torq plans to propel its journey toward fully autonomous agent-driven solutions.

Founded in 2020, Torq was spearheaded by Smadari, who previously established Luminate—a company acquired by Symantec that allowed businesses to create zero-trust access architectures without traditional VPNs. His prior experience also includes leadership roles at Adallom, a cloud access security broker acquired by Microsoft.
